Cinnamon Roll Bubble Bar Recipe

Cinnamon Roll Bubble Bar Recipe

Cozy up under a mountain of bubbles while enveloped in the rich scent of cinnamon frosting. Yummy! This bubble bar recipe is so fun to make and doesn't require any special tools. Intermediate difficulty.

Using just your hands as tools, you can mix together a batch of bubble bars in 15-20 minutes. By creating a simple batch of bubble bar dough, leaving one half white and colouring one half with Chocolate Liquid Krazy Dye, we can flatten them out and roll them together to look like a cinnamon roll.

The natural color of ingredients gives a white color perfect for this project, and since Cinnamon Frosting Fragrance does not contain Vanillin, it won't turn our white batch brown. If you're using another fragrance that contains vanillin, add 2 Tbsp. of Vanilla Stabilizer to avoid discolouration.

  • Protective gloves, mask, eyewear, hairnet
  • Measuring Cups/Spoons
  • Wax paper
  • Knife
  • Rolling Pin
  • Mixing bowls

  1. Measure out all of your ingredients and set up your equipment on your station.
  2. Mix all dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl, be careful when adding SLSA as it is easily airborn.
  3. Add the 3/4 cup of glycerin and all of the fragrance oil. Important: This fragrance does not contain vanillin and therefore does not discolor. If using a different fragrance, check for vanillin content as it will discolour your batch. Add 2 Tbsp. of Vanilla Stabilizer to avoid this.
  4. Using a gloved hand or spoon begin to mix slowly and fully incorporate all ingredients together.
  5. Once ingredients are combined you should have a play-dough like mixture.
  6. Divide your mixture evenly into 2 pieces. Keep 1 piece in the bowl.
  7. Add your Liquid Krazy Dye to the bowl. I added 2 tsp of liquid dye to my mixture. You can adjust depending on how dark/ light you want your colour to be.
  8. If you find your dough isnt staying together like playdough you can add up to 1/4 additional Glycerin to each batch- keeping the colours seperated.
  9. Now take each colour dough ball and roll them out into 1" thick rectangular pads, each the same size and shape.
  10. Stack the colours ontop of eachother with wax paper on the top and bottom.
  11. Roll your dough out with a rolling pin to be roughly 1/2 an inch thick.
  12. Take the wax paper off the top, and using the wax paper under the dough gently curl one end and roll the dough into a log. It helps to use a popsicle stick to make the first roll.
  13. Remove the wax paper and use a knife to cut your bubble bars as big as you want!
  14. Congrats! Let your bubble bars dry for 24-48 hours and they are ready to use!

Can you use a water soluble powder dye or hybrid dye instead of liquid dye?
