Eucalyptus - Essential Oil

$6.00

DESCRIPTION

An Australian native tree with over 700 species, Eucalyptus now grows in many places of the world including Asia and Europe. It can grow up to 90 meters high with long, narrow yellowish green leaves in mature trees. The flowers are an off-white colour and have a smooth, pale grey cone often covered in white powder.

Eucalyptus Essential Oil is a colourless to pale-yellow with a distinct camphorous, woody-sweet odour. This is a very similar smell to the crushed leaves. It is known as an analgesic, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antiviral, astringent, cicatrisant, decongestant, deodorant, depurative, diuretic, expectorant, hypoglycaemic, and a stimulant.

BLENDS WELL WITH

Basil, cedarwood, citronella, frankincense, ginger, juniper, lavender, lemon, niaouli, pine, peppermint, rosemary, spearmint, tea tree, thyme.

SAFETY

As per NAHA guidelines, Fizz Fairy Krazycolours does not recommend the ingestion of essential oils, they are for external use only. Pregnant and nursing women are particularly cautioned to avoid using the essential oil without medical guidance.

When applied topically, Eucalyptus Oil should ideally be used in dilution, as using the oil directly or in high concentrations can potentially cause skin irritation. A skin test is recommended prior to use. Eucalyptus Oil must never be used near the eyes, inner ears, or on any other particularly sensitive areas of skin.

The oil is generally safe for use on adult skin, but Eucalyptus Essential Oil should never be applied to the face of a child under 2 years old. Individuals who suffer from allergic sensitivities could potentially experience airborne contact dermatitis with the use of Eucalyptus Oil, which could be uncomfortable, if not dangerous.
